Hi all, during my market research I stumbled upon KIOXIA HOLDINGS, currently trading over-the-counter (OTC) under KXIAY. They produce NAND Flash memories and SSDs for enterprises and also as cards and portable SSDs for personal use. It spun off from Toshiba's memory chip business in 2017. They stated that they are planning to enter the US market eventually, but no date is settled.
Asking some AIs to tell me if they believe they will grow in the next years (conflict of interest?) they said demand for storage for AI centers will only begin to saturate in late 2027. Compared to DRAM, maybe it won't ever be so big, but it is still projected to grow in the next couple years. However, there's still also the Chinese competition, which could hurt other companies if they grow bigger, such as YMTC.
The KXIAY stock seems promising to me so far. Of course it's highly risky to invest in it as it's a new fruit and already the market is highly dominated by Seagate, SanDisk, Samsung.
Regardless, I have two questions.
1) What are your thoughts on this? and,
2) If I buy this OTC stock, and it lists in the US market, how does that affect the stocks I already have?
