TrapNet Launches Feb 21 — A Blockchain That Rewards Survival, Not Wealth

Most blockchains are built to reward advantage. Proof-of-Work favors access to hardware and cheap electricity, while Proof-of-Stake favors people who already have capital. TrapNet, launching on Feb 21, starts from a different assumption: that real-world economic struggle is a scarce resource that cannot be printed, bought, or faked at scale.

TrapNet introduces Proof-of-Struggle, a new consensus model that treats consistent participation in the economy under pressure as meaningful signal rather than risk. Showing up to work, paying bills, surviving financially month after month — things traditional finance often punishes and crypto largely ignores — are reframed as proof. This persistence feeds into a Struggle Score, which helps secure the network, determine participation, and limit exploitation through an Opp-Rug Detection Layer designed to keep bad actors out.

This isn’t charity or a handout. It’s a protocol built to turn survival into stake and participation into ownership, designed for people existing systems were never meant to serve. Whether it succeeds or not, it challenges a core assumption in crypto: who these systems should actually work for.
