What are your thoughts on positioning for the major ruling thats supposed to drop next Friday? Ive been thinking about how this could move markets in either direction and cant decide on the best approach
On one hand if they strike down these trade policies it could be bullish since it removes that cost burden from consumers and businesses. But then again uncertainty around enforcement and potential workarounds might spook investors initially
The tricky part is even if the court rules against the current setup theres nothing stopping new policies from being rolled out that accomplish similar goals through different mechanisms. Plus theres the whole question of what happens to all that revenue thats already been collected
Im leaning toward some kind of straddle play since volatility seems like a given regardless of which way this goes. Anyone else positioning for this or am I overthinking it? Would love to hear different perspectives on how this might unfold
