Watchlist Tool

I recently built a cool tool (*biased opinion*), and thought others might find it useful, too. *I don't think this breaks the sub's rules, but mods, let me know.*

# Too Many Tickers to Track

I've noticed lately that I've been overwhelmed by all the tickers that I want to ***loosely*** ***track***. I end up scrolling through my yahoo finance app, looking at the endless list of companies that I'd like to keep on my radar, but can't seem to manage. It's a waste of time and probably hurts my investing performance, overall.

For instance, I have no immediate ambitions to buy small modular reactor stocks like OKLO and SMR, but I wouldn't mind keeping an eye on them.

Or there are other companies that are adjacent to the stocks that I currently own, but I often find myself missing key events that slip through the cracks.

# Watchlisto! - Periodic Updates

[Watchlisto!](http://www.watchlisto.com)

I decided to create a simple watchlist tool that will send an occasional email to keep you updated on all the stocks you'd like to follow.

***There's no sign-up and it's completely free.*** You just enter the stocks you want to follow, name the watchlist, and select how often you'd like to receive an update. Watchlisto handles the rest.

Once created, you'll receive an email with all of the updates from the past period (week, month, quarter - depending on the frequency that you've chosen). Below is what that email catch-up looks like.

You can create as many watchlists as you want.

# Current & Future Features

Currently, this sends the latest stock chart and all the press releases for the past period. But I'd like to add more features over time. Here is what I'm planning on adding (*with the goal of making these opt-in so that you receive only the information that you're interested in*). Let me know if you have any suggestions on things you'd like to see.

* Earnings Transcripts w/ AI summaries
* Insider Transactions
* 8-Ks and other SEC filings.
* Bullish / Bearish Estimates (*AI powered*) on Press Releases & Earnings Transcripts
* Technical indicators (maybe?)

Also, currently, the stock price chart shows performance since the stock was added to the watchlist. This is a feature that I've personally always wanted in a tracker. I don't care as much about last week's performance or YTD or whatever; I'm more interested in how it's done since I've first started looking at it.

# What it's Not

This isn't for high frequency traders or people that want the immediate news flow. I may eventually build in the functionality to send earnings transcripts and high impact press releases the day that they come out, but right now, this is meant for loosely tracking companies.

My goal is to remove some of the overhead from my life. So updates are currently sent on a set schedule - the watchlists that I've currently set, personally, are mostly on the monthly / quarterly cadence.

# Thoughts?

Thanks for checking it out. I'm curious if this is something that you'd find useful? I know that there are other similar products out there, but I liked the granularity this provided without having to pay for a premium product.

I also have ambitions to eventually build in other macroeconomic indicators and other tools that I've personally built - Exhibit [A (risk premium)](https://riskpremiumresearch.substack.com/p/estimating-the-equity-risk-premium) & [B (lost decade odds)](https://riskpremiumresearch.substack.com/p/lost-decades) \- maybe these can become a quarterly report that investors can receive if they wish to.
