Is HEALWELL AI flying under the radar? Looking for different perspectives. (TSX: AIDX / OTC: HWAIF)
I’ve been researching HEALWELL AI recently, and I’m surprised it isn’t discussed more often. I’m not trying to convince anyone to buy the stock. I’m simply trying to understand the company as thoroughly as possible before making any investment decision.
Here are a few things that stood out to me:
\- Revenue reached approximately **CAD 33.2M in Q1 2026**, representing more than **300% year-over-year growth**.
\- The company achieved **positive Adjusted EBITDA**, which many AI-focused small-cap companies have not yet accomplished.
\- Through the acquisition of Orion Health, HEALWELL now owns an established healthcare data platform with existing enterprise customers rather than having to build one from the ground up.
\- The business focuses on practical AI applications, including clinical decision support, disease detection, patient identification and clinical trial recruitment.
\- Healthcare AI appears to be one of the areas where artificial intelligence could create measurable value for both healthcare providers and patients.
What also caught my attention is the company’s strategy. Instead of relying solely on future technology, management has been acquiring established healthcare software businesses, integrating AI capabilities into them and using their existing customer base.
Of course, there are still important questions:
\- How much of the recent growth is sustainable without further acquisitions?
\- Can the company achieve consistent profitability under IFRS?
\- How successfully will the acquired businesses be integrated?
\- How strong is the competition from larger healthcare technology companies?
Overall, HEALWELL AI appears to have real products, customers and growing revenue, which makes it stand out from many companies that are still at a much earlier stage.
I’d be interested to hear from people who have followed the company longer than I have.
