Big new by Comcast today, but I think something will happen sooner. Look at WBD.
* June 2025: WBD announces its split into Streaming & Studios and Global Networks. The company was trading around $9.50-10/share.
* December 2025: Netflix offers $28/share for the Studios & Streaming assets.
* February 27, 2026: Paramount tops it with a $31/share, $110B EV offer for all of WBD.
That's a triple bagger from when the breakup was announced, within a span of 8 months. It made me a tidy profit.
Now look at Comcast at a measly $24/share. Now that the market knows that NBC Universal will be independent in 1 year, why wait when it can act now? An auction could emerge before the transaction closes. The market is pricing in a spin-off; I'm wondering if it should be pricing in a sale instead. A lot can change in the year; keep your eyes out.
**Positions**: 800 shares at $26, opened a position late last year and DCA'd. Selling when my investment gains 50-100% in the next 24 months.
