One of the things I like as an investor in META with a long term horizon is the fact that they’re locking in compute at lower/compensated rates now (future 10% equity stake in AMD for example), and they’re optimizing their entire data center technology stack using advantages unique to them (META is the only major company that has custom silicon driving ai workflows for their own main revenue stream, have full visibility/full ownership over their system), which becomes more important as everyone else’s data center buildout continues.
TLDR, long term I believe META will flourish, because they’ll have figured out efficient AI infrastructure through heavy investment and their unique internal data advantage. Happy to expand or debate bear takes in the comments!
\*Disclosure I own a stake in META.
