We are always looking for the next big thing when regarding to investing and over the years we want through ALOT of eras.
Lets begin back in 2017. In and around 2017 Cannabis stocks was the hottest of hot stocks especially stocks like Canopy growth and Aurora Cannabis went crazy.
Go 2 years forward and we have the EV hype lead by... (ofc) Tesla, Tesla was the market leader and definitely gave a boost and focus on the EV sector and it become the new HOT.
Fast forward some years to around 2023 and we had/have the Ai era, lead by Nvidia and companies like Palantir.
Lets move forward again and we have the defense and space era, where companies like Rheinmetall and Rocket lab saw a big interest from retail and institutions.
These are just some of the trends of the past, you can look up all the trends yourself.
By now you probably get the point, but if you don't, then let me explain.
So just like almost everything here on earth follows a cycle so does the stock market, new trends appear, new technology is developed and companies always seek the exploit new markets and tends to seeks towards the new big thing.
If you look at the how many years at typical cycle last, it appears to be around 2-3 years before a new big thing (era) comes around and catches the eye of retail and the hype begins.
**What is the next big thing then going to be?**
In my opinion it's going to be robotics/humanoid.
We are already seeing how tesla is working on Optimus and Boston Dynamics on Atlas and maybe Nasa is working on Tars😉 (iykyk)
Everything around us is going to get automated, its cheaper for the company, its easier for the company so why not. The robot can also do stuff more precisely than a human hand can, take a look at how robots are making their entry into hospitals. A surgeon today uses some kind of robotic help to do a complex surgery.
But then what companies could benefit from this?, i have listed some of the companies which i think could see big rise if robotics/humanoid becomes the next big thing.
