Plain and simple eVTOLS are better than helicopters and propellor planes in almost every way.
\- Cost per mile is significantly reduced
\- Safety is drastically increased due to redundancy
\- Much quieter than helicopters and prop planes
\- No runway required, the speed of a propellor plane with the vertical take off ability of a helicopter.
\- Hybrid electric options increase efficiency and reliability.
Over the next 10-20 years we are going to see an almost complete replacement of traditional helicopters and propellor planes. With almost all benefits and very little downside, purchasing a helicopter or propellor plane over an VTOL will be senseless. Especially with hybrid options, like HOVR provides.
Air taxis, med flights, military cargo delivery, disaster relief will all drastically benefit from VTOLs. I would imagine the sales of VTOLs to 5x-10x the yearly sales of helicopters and propellor planes as the technology continues to improve.
Not to overstate how revolutionary these aircraft are, but I don’t think it is unreasonable to compare it to the transition from horse and buggy to gas powered automobiles.
Only time will tell, would love to hear everyone thoughts.
