Shelly Group: Tiny Smart-Home Boxes, Fat Margins, and Actual Profits

I know this sub hates anything that isn’t NVDA, TSLA, PLTR or a man losing his kids’ college fund on weekly calls, but hear me out.

I found this weird little European company called **Shelly Group**.

They make smart home / energy management devices. Tiny boxes. Relays, plugs, meters, sensors, all that nerd stuff. Basically things you put behind switches or into your electrical setup so your house stops being a caveman cave with WiFi.

And before someone says “lol smart home is dead” — maybe for the $300 touchscreen fridge crowd, yes. But this is more boring and probably better. Their stuff is cheap, flexible, works with a lot of systems, and is used by actual home automation people instead of people who buy one Alexa bulb and call themselves Tony Stark.

The part that got my attention: they are not some fake growth company lighting money on fire.

FY2025:
Revenue: **€149.7m**
Growth: **+40%**
Adjusted EBIT: **€37.8m**
Adjusted EBIT margin: **25%**

A hardware company growing 40% with 25% EBIT margins is not normal. That is the kind of thing that makes me suspicious in a good way.

Guidance for 2026 is also pretty spicy:
Revenue: **€195–205m**
EBIT: **€47–52m**

So this tiny thing is guiding toward around €200m revenue and €50m EBIT while nobody on here is talking about it because it doesn’t have “quantum AI defense nuclear space” in the name.

Why I think it might be interesting:

Energy is expensive. Buildings are old. Everyone wants solar, batteries, heat pumps, EV chargers, lower bills, automation, monitoring, control, whatever. Shelly sells the little picks and shovels for that. Not the sexy part, but maybe the part people actually buy.

Bear case is obvious:
It’s hardware.
Competition exists.
European small cap liquidity can be disgusting.
If growth slows, everyone suddenly remembers valuation matters.

But the bull case is also pretty simple:
Tiny company.
Real products.
Real customers.
Real profits.
Big market.
Still early.

I’m not saying this is the next NVDA. I’m saying this might be one of those boring little compounders people discover after it already did the funny line-up thing.

Anyway, I just like tiny boxes that make electricity obey me.

Not financial advice. I am probably underqualified to operate a toaster.
