Dr. Nathan Walton, lead pastor of East End Fellowship Richmond asks a great question and Dr. Terence Lester expands on that point in an essay for Christians for Social Action. Why are Christians using our time and resources in such profoundly unjust ways? And specifically why can&#8217;t we &#8211; Christians &#8211; condemn violence? </p><p>I am wondering that right now as <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/31/politics/new-documents-trump-epstein">pedophiles sit in office</a>, <a href="https://www.themarshallproject.org/2025/12/17/children-immigration-detention-dilley-ice">children languish in concentration camps</a>,<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/23/latest-boat-strike-caribbean-kills-three-men"> boats are continuing to be blown up in the Caribbean</a> and so <a href="https://www.ncronline.org/news/springfields-15000-haitians-brace-deportations-local-churches-train-resist-ice">many communities are on edge</a> wondering if there is going to enough money for food, shelter, clothing and medicine while worried about <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/travel-bans-flights-canceled-blizzard-east-coast-winter-storm/">ice storms cutting their power</a> or <a href="https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/blog/ice-expanding-detention-system/">ICE disappearing their family members</a>. </p><p><strong>And why are followers of Jesus refusing to call for justice for survivors of convicted sex-trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein? </strong><em><strong>Lord have mercy.</strong> </em></p>
