Click to read the article!

“Many of us have outsourced and professionalized most of our spiritual lives. Most Sundays in person and on our devices the rest of the week, we are consumers and spectators of Christian content in parasocial relationships with professional communicators and experts while tithing 2-4% of our income as a type of spiritual subscription. We assume that evangelism must just be for the evangelists taking the latest spiritual gifts test, and discipling others must only be left to those with discernment and patience or favor and influence. This type of secondhand spirituality is cancerous and has metastasized so that a population of supposedly faithful people are more devoted to their brand ambassador of the faith than to Christ himself. This is especially true when it comes to seeking justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly after God to reflect his kingdom in the margins.”

READ | WHY JUSTICE STARTS AT HOME

Let me know what you think!
