I inherited AMD stock (so no money down) which is currently sitting upper 6-figures worth. It is my one and only stock holding outside of 401k/managed accounts.
Obviously I would rather have my person back instead of this stress about what to do: sell? hold? sell and invest somewhere else? At this point I wouldn’t call it “life changing” money. My kids and I are comfortable and our house/cars paid off, etc.. On the other hand it’s certainly “get the kitchen remodeled/deck redone/mudroom outfitted” money. It’s also healthy college-fund money on top of what we had already saved.
Should I really be learning about stocks at this point? Just sell and put it into a managed stock portfolio? AAAHHH! Too many decisions.
