Babcock and Wilcox (BW)

The AI bottleneck isn't silicon. It's steam. ($BW DD)
Data centers need massive power.
Power requires steam turbines.
Steam turbines require industrial boilers.

The Play: Babcock & Wilcox ($BW)
BW is my value investing play of the year.
They do one thing: build industrial boilers. They do it better than anyone. They hold the original 1856 patent for efficiency-focused boilers.

They literally sold steam boilers to Thomas Edison.

The Comparison: $BW vs. GE Vernova ($GEV)
GEV makes the entire unit - both the boilers and turbines.
BW strictly makes the boilers and leverages natural sales channels by partnering with turbine builders like Siemens.

The Valuation
BW: $1B Annual Revenue. $3B Market Cap. Virtually no debt.
GEV: $40B Annual Revenue. $280B Market Cap. Small debt, massive free cash flow.

Boots on the Ground
I am an engineer. I do site visits at power plants, refineries, chemical plants, pulp and paper, and data centers. BW boiler everywhere. Their 50MW modular units are the most dependable, efficient fossil-fuel generators on the market.

The Downside
The stock is up almost 6,000% from its April 2025 lows.
Yes, six thousand percent.
