It has been dropping based on the promise of a deal that claims the strait will be open while they "get everyone to the table", but Trump still needs to approve it.
Reality behind the scenes: Trump had a planned Camp David peace signing planned, and Iran backed out at the last second because of the attacks, and Trump ended up looking like a jackass.
So now he's claiming there is TOTALLY a deal on the table, but they need HIM to approve it and they're just BEGGING for it.
Nothing is changing, the strait is not going to open without tolls ever again.
