Fellow fellas,
Ill be quick and short
While Chris Camillo is out there pounding the table and going full bull on Sweetgreen after his recent podcast tour, I'm sitting here heavily short $SG.
The current price action has NOTHING to do with fundamentals. It's 100% hype driven by the initial launch of these new wraps + Camillo's media rounds
MAIN NEGATIVE ASPECTS
Social proof is nonexistent
Sweetgreen's main TikTok/IG account has 250k followers. Their biggest wrap launch video? 40 likes.
This post on reddit might get more likes
If this stuff was actually popping off with customers, it would be blowing up organically. It's not.
THEN
Deep dive into TikTok trends + Google Trends shows the hype spike is already fading fast.
Organic TikTok reviews are overwhelmingly negative: people calling the wraps too caloric or too small for the price.
MY SECRET SAUCE
Store-level intel is even worse , I talked directly to local managers + employees
Wraps have significantly lower ticket sales and lower margins than the core menu.
70% of wrap sales are cannibalizing classic bowls with higher margings
So yeah heavily short SG, since Chris Camillo likely just wanted to pump the stock to make a quick buck.
