Donald Trump missing Jr wedding, Not going to New Jersey in the weekend , Bombing?

If Trump was already planning to be in the NY/NJ area for the weekend (Bedminster is usually his go-to stop), why cancel the entire NJ trip instead of just making a short appearance at Don Jr.’s wedding?

That’s the part that feels worth asking about. This wasn’t just “missed a ceremony and moved on.” The wedding, the Bedminster stay, and the usual weekend routine in New Jersey all got dropped at the same time.

The timeline people are pointing to is pretty specific:
