NVDA's networking line is the read-through nobody is pricing

i've been watching the nvda chatter all day. most of the sub's threads went straight to the EPS beat and the guide, which is fair, but the part i keep coming back to is their Data Center networking number: $14.8B, roughly +199% y/y (NVDA release recap). that felt like a signal more than a footnote.

the way i think about it is simple. demand isnt the debate anymore. the debate is "where does the buildout actually hit real costs?" networking is the plumbing. when that line starts to scale, it forces other, less sexy buys: switches, optics, interconnect, then power upgrades and thermal gear. those are the names that can gap before retail even digests the earnings thread.

i'm not pretending to have a perfect model. what i do notice is the sequence: switching/interconnect sentiment moves first, then you see capex/backlog comments from infrastructure suppliers, and a few quarters later you get the utility and buildout calls. if you only trade the headline, you get the same reaction everyone else gets and find out about the ripple after the fact.

anyone here tracking networking revenue as a leading indicator for infra names in past nvda cycles, or is this quarter actually different because of product mix? curious what the community thinks, especially anyone who follows semicap or data center infra.
