# Introduction
Let me start off strong by saying anybody who thinks TTWO is priced in is completely retarded. Over the past month, I’ve extensively (mildly) researched, looked at the stock history, news, and r/wallstreetbets posts, and come to the conclusion that everybody commenting on other posts about TTWO saying “IT’S PRICED IN!!!!!” is retarded and, dare I say, a B\*\*MER or SH\*LL. Because it’s not. In fact, it is so not priced in that some may call it the most undervalued stock in history.
Now, what do I mean by this? Let’s start with a brief overview of where TTWO stock has been since January, then move on to what GTA VI means for entertainment in general. What I mean to prove is not the fundamentals of the stock, but the sheer value of hype and momentum in driving price action in the modern day.
# Stock Price History and Context
In January, TTWO reached its ATH of around \~265. Then Strauss Zelnick broke the bad news that [GTA VI would be delayed from May 26, 2026 to November 19, 2026](https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-november-2026/1100-6536012/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), which dropped the stock down to the $180–$190 range. TTWO then proceeded to trade in the $180–$190 range until April.
This is when guidance was given in which the launch date was affirmed for November, and that [marketing would have a short but intense period beginning in summer 2026](https://www.gematsu.com/2026/02/grand-theft-auto-vi-marketing-to-begin-this-summer?utm_source=chatgpt.com). Summer officially begins in June, which was less than 2 months away. We then saw a steady increase up until last week (May 10), when there were rumours that Trailer 3 would be released before TTWO earnings on May 21. There was also [preorder speculation tied to Best Buy and the May 18–21 window](https://www.techradar.com/gaming/this-new-best-buy-leak-claims-gta-6-pre-orders-begin-on-may-18-but-i-wouldnt-hold-your-breath-yet?utm_source=chatgpt.com), which helped fuel more hype around the stock. [Barron’s also reported that TTWO jumped on GTA VI preorder speculation](https://www.barrons.com/articles/take-two-stock-price-grand-theft-auto-vi-preorder-86dd9aff?utm_source=chatgpt.com), which subsequently pumped the stock >10%.
Now, does that look like price action that says “IT’S PRICED IN!”? No. That looks like early algorithmic FOMO. The “get in before everybody realizes what’s going on” kind of FOMO. And now I’m telling you all because **shit has yet to hit the fan.** And to pump my calls.
Trailer 3 hasn’t dropped yet, the multi-million-dollar marketing campaign hasn’t even begun yet, and most importantly, the **gold-played mag-lev hype train has yet to leave the station.**
# GTA VI as Entertainment
Everybody has seen [Trailers 1 and 2](https://www.rockstargames.com/VI) already: the crisp quality, the cars, and most importantly, the jiggle physics. My dear god, the jiggle physics.
But what do all three of these have in common? They are the result of a billion dollars’ worth of innovation and trying to make. some. fucking. money. Boomers will look at this and say, “It’s just another video game like that Minecraft or the Fortnites!” but they are COMPLETELY wrong. GTA VI is already being described as one of the most important upcoming game releases, with [GameSpot noting the enormous hype surrounding it](https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-november-2026/1100-6536012/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
The aim of this game is to take your life. Consume you. The graphics, the characters, and the online will be intricately engineered to sell you the American Dream, and you will LOVE every second of it. It will pull you in through the campaign, then when GTA Online rolls around, you’ll find some communities, niche or not, surrounding the mechanics of GTA V, which will have even greater depth in GTA VI, which will suck your soul away or maybe even get sucked away in the fucking game. In addition to mechanics of old, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for GTA VI to have new mechanics which will have new communities surrounding them.
This matters because GTA Online has already proven itself as a long-term monetization machine. Zelnick has previously described GTA Online as [“the gift that keeps on giving”](https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-5-s-online-mode-is-the-gift-that-keeps-on-giving-take-two-says-about-its-monetary-opportunity/1100-6418882/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), and Take-Two has also openly discussed the value of [recurrent consumer spending](https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-red-dead-parent-publisher-wants-recurrent-cons/1100-6454839/?utm_source=chatgpt.com) across its games. More recently, Zelnick attributed GTA V’s insane longevity partly to the fact that it became a [highly social experience through GTA Online](https://www.techradar.com/gaming/grand-theft-auto-ceo-believes-gta-5-was-so-successful-because-its-a-highly-social-experience?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
Not to mention, the map of GTA VI is estimated by fans to be 3–4 times the size of GTA V, and if Rockstar is not completely brain-dead like Bethesda, the map will have equal or greater complex content density than GTA V.
# Conclusion
The entire video game industry is looking at TTWO with chattering teeth and hands covering eyes. Nobody wants to release their game near GTA VI. Nobody dares make the claim, “Our game is better!” And everyone wants GTA VI to set a higher industry standard for how much a video game can be charged for. This is especially relevant because there has already been industry discussion around whether GTA VI could push the ceiling higher for video game pricing, including speculation around a possible [$100 price point](https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-november-2026/1100-6536012/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
TTWO owns the entire industry. They are the leader, and everyone knows it. Remember CD Projekt and Cyberpunk 2077’s release? Yeah, CP wasn’t even live service. GTA VI is **THE** live service and it's not even remotely disputable after the [hack and data leak last month](https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rockstar-hackers-release-their-stolen-data-reveal-that-rockstar-was-right-to-not-pay-them-anything-for-it/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
And to reiterate: TTWO hasn’t even begun to generate hype yet.
