It is a crime that retail investors have been locked out of owning Anthropic's and OpenAI's early growth

The stock market is a societal equalizing device in that it offers retail and institutional investors alike the opportunity to buy the same assets at the same price at any point in time. When private companies are allowed to stay private until $1T valuations, it creates inequality between institutional and retail investors. For a technology that is supposed to be "for the benefit of all," it is kind of funny that retail have not been able to share in the equity upside until this point.
