Long story short, my company’s CFO wants to sell off a large parcel of AMD shares that we received as a bonus payment for a job.
I don’t want to sell. I think they’ve still got a pretty good run left in them, and honestly, it’s not like we actually paid for the shares ourselves.
Especially considering pretty much every chipmaker is on a tear right now.
We ended up having a pretty heated debate about it. They want to sell and put the money back into the business, which, for the record, we really don’t need to do. We just had a record sales month and cash flow is through the roof.
At the end of the day, the decision is mine, but is my CFO being an idiot…
Or should I actually listen to them?
