PCT is a plastic recycling company that produces food safe recycled plastic but it looks to me like this may fuel a rocket ship in the coming months…
PCT is ripping and this shit might get interesting for the 🌈🧸 on the top movers chart today and insane volume over the last week
pct actually has a real bull case and people are sleeping on it imo
they’re finally producing real volume. q1 was like 8.4m lbs produced which is a huge deal because it shows the plant is actually coming alive
revenue has been growing 5 quarters in a row. not massive yet but the direction is obvious
ironton turnaround got done ahead of schedule and under budget which is honestly a great sign
they already have demand lined up. management said 40-50m lbs starts ramping q2/q3 and another 20-25m lbs later in the year
p&g qualified their resin for actual applications. that’s not some tiny customer, that’s literally procter and gamble
the tech solves a real problem. polypropylene recycling is super hard and pct can turn used plastic into near virgin quality resin
regulation is pushing companies toward recycled content whether they like it or not, and pct is positioned perfectly for that
food contact approval makes the opportunity way bigger. this isn’t just basic low value recycled plastic
they still have cash/liquidity to keep pushing through the ramp, so the story has room to play out
the upside is crazy if execution keeps improving. once production, demand, and customer shipments all start lining up, this thing could move fast
And then there are the short-shorts 👅
Short sentiment has seemed to rely on this bulletproof thesis
“plant doesn’t work”
“company is fake”
“cash burn”
“lol recycled plastic”
“zero”
We’ll see 🤮
The company is no longer just waving around investor deck clip art (poorly at that). they’re pushing tens of millions of pounds of plastic through their plants, getting customer and regulators validation, and the stock is starting to move like somebody just found the buy button under a pile of bear 💩
fellow regards… it has come to my attention that
short interest is larger than Bonnie blues body count. By a lot. like 50m+ shares short. somewhere around 40% of the float depending where you look. days to cover is ugly too. And that was true when the stock was at 5$. It’s ripped to 12.50 today and the 🧸 are starting to pull out their stuffing.
This is no stroll in the woods
that’s a crowded prison short bus full of bears driving downhill with no brakes
The bear thesis has a huge problem: pct does not need to be profitable, all it need to do is keep growing let customer base (P&G is huge) and continue growing output and lowering production costs, and the regulators will take care of themselves. That will happen and there will be no shortage of 🐻 lining up to serve pct recycled plastic coffee lids at your local Starbucks.
that’s it
that’s the whole thing
Positions: 3000 shares across personal and Roth IRA
tl;dr
pct is a hated trash-plastic stock with a massive short base
that is exactly the kind of garbage setup that can turn into a religious experience.
not financial advice
i am probably wrong
but if this thing keeps moving, the bears are going to learn that recycled plastic can, in fact, be used to manufacture rockets.
