Tell me I'm an idiot. I'm currently sitting on XOP/XLE I bought a month ago and am considering selling those to roll into futures: it doesn't feel like XOP/XLE is capturing the full beta of the oil spike now as the stocks are pricing in $80 oil in a year. Trump is manipulating the market as much as he can but I don't think it can go on forever. I don't feel comfortable buying the July/August contracts for that reason, but I think (possibly delulu) that reality should set in by September/October, and that those contracts have some pretty juicy upside.
