If you could only pick a few of these for the next 5 years, how would you balance certainty vs upside?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Choosing between NVIDIA, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and Tesla feels less like picking the “best company” and more like finding the right mix between reliability and optionality.

Here’s how I see it:

Microsoft feels like the most certain. Cloud plus AI is already monetizing in a real way, not just hype.

Meta has massive cash flow, and AI is quietly improving efficiency across the business. Feels like execution is still underappreciated.

Apple is more of a defensive pick. Hard to see them making big mistakes, but the upside might be more limited.

NVIDIA is right at the center of AI, but expectations are already extremely high.

Tesla feels like the wild card. Huge long term potential, but definitely comes with volatility.

If I had to choose today, I’d probably go with Microsoft and Meta as core positions, then maybe add a smaller position in NVIDIA or Tesla for more upside.

Curious how others are thinking about this.

Do you lean more toward stability with something like Microsoft?

Or are you taking more risk with NVIDIA or Tesla for bigger returns?

Is anyone going all in on just one of these instead of diversifying?

Would love to hear how you’d build this kind of 5 years portfolio.
