A year ago, I was downvoted for my Intel post

It's been a year since I made a post about Intel eventually making a come back. My core reasoning was that this is a strategic area which the U.S. prioritizes, and if the deep state is serious about bringing Intel back into the game, they will succeed no matter what.

I got downvoted very hard in that post, and the comments even insulted me about the deep state nonsense. I do agree with them that Intel is far behind and that they are a joke at that point. So I bought Intel at 20, and sold it at 25 because I didn't think they could make a come back in a short amount of time. If I knew how quickly the deep state can bring Intel back into game, I would have held it longer.

What the deep state has done for Intel is that they've used tariffs to force TSMC to move their fabs to the U.S., this helps intellectual property transfer as TSMC hires local engineers, while at the same time, Intel is also hiring engineers from TSMC.

The U.S. deep state is a global hegemon. If the U.S. is behind in certain technological areas, they can command key industries from vassal states to bring their technologies to their home nation, and assist their local industries in catching up.
