Monero is still king in my book. True privacy by default – ring signatures, stealth addresses, RingCT. It's battle-tested, fungible, and the gold standard for private digital cash. I hold XMR and always will.
But if you love what Monero stands for, check out Zephyr Protocol
Zephyr is a fork of the Monero codebase, so it shares the exact same core privacy tech (RandomX mining, ring signatures, stealth addresses – everything). Your transactions stay fully private, just like XMR. It even has a similar \~18.4M supply cap with tail emission.
it layers in a Minimal Djed-style over-collateralized stablecoin system. $ZEPH acts as collateral to mint private stable assets like ZephUSD – giving real utility (private stable value) on top of Monero-level privacy.
Price-wise, XMR is around $380–$390 now. Great for holders, but you can't stack a ton with a small buy.
ZEPH is sitting at \~$0.36 with a tiny \~$4.4M market cap. This feels like early Monero pricing – you can still pick up thousands of coins for very little money. Same privacy soul, added stablecoin utility, slower early emission to reward holders, but way more room to run.
I'm not selling any XMR. I'm just using fresh capital to stack some ZEPH too. The tech overlap is huge, the risk/reward looks asymmetric, and it's still flying under the radar.
DYOR on the whitepaper and tokenomics, of course. Any other Monero folks looking at ZEPH?
