Is there a simple equation for I can use to find out the exact number of shares I should buy to offseta loss and balance back to zero if it hits a certain value?
For example if I spend $100 and bought 10 shares of ABCD at $10, but it then dropped to $1 per share. But I thought it would go back up to $5, how would I calculate how much I would have to buy in order to break even and cash out(ignoring short/long holding taxes in this scenario) or profit and cash out?
Does that make sense?
