Noob question and first post here, please bear with me.
I could not find an answer elsewhere, and I cannot find an explanation on why, at least during the past couple of months, the USD (vs EUR) moves exactly opposite to, for instance, S&P 500. I get that maybe EU is more vulnerable to the price hikes of oil, but it seems that it is true also for the general USD index. Anyone care to explain - like for a 10 year old please - ? thanks!
