The Real Motive Behind the Iranian Conflict is to Position the U.S. in a Post-NATO World Order

I’m not a conspiracy theorist, so please hear me out:

I think Trump is on a need to know basis and he’s just the face of the decisions being presented to him from parties that are thinking about positioning the U.S. in a Post-NATO world order.

The closure of Hormuz not only impacts a strong Adversary (China) but also many of our allies (Japan, S. Korea, and Europe to a degree).

Marco Rubio saying we were “forced to join Israel” in striking Iran because US assets would be targeted in retaliation doesn’t make sense. Iran knows the U.S.’ military capability and attacking the US unprovoked is something that I couldn’t see them actively doing.

This move is to destabilize the flow of energy, as a point of leverage for the U.S., for countries that depend more on importing oil than the US. It feels like this was something the U.S. wanted to be proactive about, and not reactive about but that isn’t a popular message to the public so the narrative is “we had no choice”.

The world is changing in a meaningful way that will likely have multi generational impacts. As such, this conflict is no where near being over, even if the U.S. withdraws from the region.
