Alabama has become the second U.S. state to grant legal status to decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) under the DUNA Act, following Wyoming. This act, signed by Governor Kay Ivey, provides full legal entity status to DAOs, allowing them to own property, sue and be sued, and enter into contracts while shielding individual members from personal liability.
