The entire reason why there is a large push to set up camp on the moon. Helium-3.

The largest problem we have right now is ENERGY. We are running out of oil and starting wars over it. The projected timeline on oil depletion is between 2050-2070.

Not only are we using up all our energy resources, we are building infrastructure to acceletate the depletion... Thousands of massive AI Data Centre are under or planned contruction phases.

Part of the solution:

There are hundreds of corpororations investing heavily on Nuclear Fusion power research at this moment. And guess where the cleanest and most abudant fuel for Nuclear Fusion is? On the surface of the MOON! Helium-3.

The entire goal of the upcoming Artemis missions are to set up a permanent base on the Moon. This is not cheap, and there needs to be a return on investment.

Well it seems Helium-3 is that return on investment.

I bet Russia and China have also caught onto this and are most likely planning their own missions to set up camp.
