All this algo and desperation buying is pretty silly, especially considering a ceasefire would completely go against Irans entire strategy. Iran does not have to win a land war. They have to survive keeping the strait of Hormuz shut for 12 weeks. At 12 weeks, the US economy is gut punched and the Fed becomes incapable of cutting rates. Treasury prices skyrocket, and inflation runs out of hand. The US becomes fiscally incapable of maintaining a war against Iran, and completely incapable of supporting Israel.
Why would the give up a chance for that just for the possibility that they might get a temporary reprieve from foreign interference at the cost of never being able to control the strait of Hormuz again, and losing every gain for nuclear development? They won’t. The White House is just praying the Iranians aren’t smart enough to realize this.
