My thinking on how the market will play out for the rest of the year. I believe that obviously the strait of Hormuz is critical on opening up that shipping lane especially for oil, gas, fertilizer and all that stuff. So a lot of the near and medium term will depend on how long it’s not open and also if Iran targets oil infrastructure in the future. However since this is a mid term year the average drawdown to upswing is 20%. I think as we get closer to the elections and it becomes clearer that the dems will at least take back the house to “gridlock” congress it will be seen as hugely bullish as it will dampen the power of the executive brach that being the Trump administration and just let business happen without trying to interfere with every industry like he’s doing now. I believe that the bigger the majority they win the higher stocks will go as this would be a major roadblock for the trump administration not having control of every branch of government. US stock market loves when the government is in gridlock. It kind of turns Trump into a lame duck president and would be able to get near as much done especially with a branch of government that has more of a spine to keep him more in control. Not financial advice.
