1. Trump says something and stocks fall, Trump says something else and stocks rally. I have to assume that most stock traders are smart enough to know that Trump lies constantly and are TACO trading. But for people to sell, it would mean that many traders don't think he's lying. How does this work?
2. The news media reports that people are trading on what Trump said as if they are taking it at face value rather than playing the market. Which one of these are accurate?
3. Bonus question: They often report, "stocks fell today on news that..." How do they know what the cause was? And isn't it often that traders are selling on the bet that other people are going to sell rather than thinking there is an actual loss of value?
