Guys. 6 years ago QQQ was $279. The entire value of the tech industry as a whole has absolutely not doubled since.
I keep seeing loss posts, here and beyond, and I kinda wanted to remind everyone of one thing
The ticker/price is a valuation.
The value is in the thing being evaluated by said valuation.
Stocks are essentially worthless once you remove the company they *represent a portion of*...
So uh. Dont do that lol.
You're not buying a ticker. You dont own shares in a digital abstract on your screen.
Can anyone actually articulate an argument as to why *the individual companies represented by the nasdaq* have, as an aggregate total, more than doubled in value? Please feel free.
