If you were 61 with $100k cash right now what would be the smartest investment?

Have not held stocks for 20 odd years and all my current investments are in real estate which I will probably sell up in the coming 3 to 5 years. Have just downsized and have $100k to invest. I know all the advice re can’t time the market etc but given my age can’t risk huge loss from the outset. I will be using an EFT not picking stocks myself. I know lump sum is usually recommended but given current volatility is this a time for DCA?
