Bitcoin became the biggest crypto in the world because it does something. The same goes for Ethereum. The 3 most important top 10 tokens (BTC BNB ETH) are worth as much as they are because people wanted the tokens for what they do.
What up-and-coming crypto has any utility built into it at the code level? It's nothing but hundreds of memecoins that are here today and gone in a week.
