Pam Bondi says that we she shouldn't care about the Epstein files because "The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records." It is clear that we don't have good leadership in the US who cares about bringing justice to the Epstein victims. It is clear nothing is really getting done.
Not investing in S&P 500 index companies would be a great way to send a message, and hopefully force some change. It would be especially symbolic as a few CEOs of S&P 500 companies (past and present) are implicated in the Epstein files, which are Bill Gates, Les Wexner, and Elon Musk.
When the April stock market sell off happened, Trump reacted and weakened his proposed sweeping tariffs. Maybe the S&P 500 index dropping is the only way to get Trump to act on the Epstein files.
What do you have to lose by not investing in the S&P 500? The index has been flat for a while anyway, and it seems the AI bubble is slowly bursting.
