A while ago now, I joined a startup company that had an employee stock incentive plan. I ended up with 30k stock prior to leaving. I exercised all the stock (bought it).
This was all managed through Carta. A year or so after I left, I the company was acquired or sold - not sure on the technical details. Anyway, no deal details were made public. The deal had closed over 6 months ago now. I would have expected some info or update by now but I haven't heard or seen anything.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to look in to this. I'd like to cash out the stock if possible or at least know it's value.
I've done something similar before and that time, it was pretty automatic. Fidelity managed it and it was just an stock asset in their system. I sold it through their platform.
