I used to have a very dividend-heavy portfolio, with only about 25% in growth. Over the last three months I rebalanced to roughly 80% growth and 20% dividends (all SCHD), given my age of 37 and long-term horizon. Since then the stocks I sold have all jumped. I sold most for a profit, except VZ, which I sold at $39.63 on January 22 and now it’s $47! I held it for years as it struggled, and as soon as I sold, it took off. My biggest “miss” was MRK which I sold at $93 and is now $119. Luckily some of the proceeds went into SCHD which holds most of these and made some gains but still I’m getting massive FOMO
