Listen, the ridiculous narrative that is spreading through the market with people fearing AI would take massive jobs in the long run is plain stupid and can only be spread by either those selling the product or those not understanding how it works.
But it can be summarized by what I say in the title.
LLMs have no coherence. They are not smart. They don't really think.
The more content they generate, the more content exists that people must thoroughly review.
Yes, ai is great. LLMs are a ridiculously powerful tool and can save people lots of time. But it will not replace people unless true AGI would be available and we are not even close to being close.
Chillout. The current tech is like the open world of GTA 5: great on the surface but it falls apart when you dig into it beyond the shiny curtains.
Anyone who is using AI for coding and also knows software engineering knows what I am talking about.
I am to no extend worried in the long run for now. Short term, stupid companies may lay off people, thinking a non thinking autocomplete on steroids can replace them. Well. Look at Salesforce.
