I stopped blaming banks and actually measured why silver feels cursed. Here’s the answer.
Listen up you beautiful silver goblins, instead of crying into a silver chart while blaming manipulation for the downfall, I actually bothered to do some analysis.
I measured how long silver stays underwater after highs and then compared it to USD strength. What I found explains basically every silver bagholder’s trauma.
Silver's problem isn't drop, it's TIME**.** Everyone talks about silver volatility like it’s the enemy.
WRONG.
Silver *always* does:
* \-10%
* \-15%
* \- 20%
* face ripping rallies
* fake breakouts
That’s normal. The real killer is **how long silver stays below its last high**.

See that massive straight line from 2021 → April 2024?
That’s about 800 trading days where silver never healed. That’s not manipulation. That’s structural pain.
**"But silver rallied loads during that time!"**
Yep, and that's a trap. It's amazing at short term hope, but it's even better at long term disappointment.
Based on the last 5 years, the median time underwater is about 150 days. In 75% of cases it's less than 1.5 years. Worst case? 2-3 years.

Here are the key insights:
**Dollar strength does NOT reliably make silver go down**
**Dollar strength reliably prevents silver from staying up**
this means that during periods of strong USD, silver rallies fail and breakouts die. No manipulation from banks, no MM bullshit.

Zoomed in after April 2024 we can easier see that when the dollar strength rolls over, the underwater duration resets and silver reaches new highs. Silver is still volatile but it's no longer stuck in purgatory.
TLDR:
USD strong -> silver can pump but it won't stay up
USD weakend -> silver gets permission to heal.
