Hey everyone,
I've been digging into **ASP Isotopes (NASDAQ: ASPI)** and their subsidiary, **Quantum Leap Energy (QLE)**, and things are getting weird.
For those out of the loop, QLE just filed a confidential S-1 for an IPO and they recently closed a **$64M private placement** led by American Ventures (the firm out of Trump Tower). Both **Eric and Don Jr.** are reportedly direct investors.
Here is the setup:
* **The Tech:** They are using laser-based enrichment (Quantum Enrichment) to produce **HALEU** for next-gen nuclear reactors. It’s basically the high-octane fuel needed for the SMRs that are supposed to power the AI data center boom.
* **The Spin-off:** ASPI is spinning QLE out as its own entity but keeping a **10% perpetual revenue royalty**.
* **The "Regulatory Armor":** Given the current administration's stance on energy independence and "America First" manufacturing, having the President's sons as backers feels like a massive hedge against regulatory hurdles for nuclear enrichment.
**The Question:** Is ASPI a buy right now to capture the QLE "dividend" (since shareholders usually get shares in the spin-off)? Or is the $7.70+ price point already baking in too much of the "Trump Premium"?
What do you think? Is the political connection a legitimate moat, or are we just watching a very expensive marketing campaign?
