On February 24, 2025, Western Digital completed its spin-off of SanDisk so that it could focus on HDDs and cloud storage. Western Digital stock has done well over the past year, rising about 360%. But SanDisk stock has done even better, rising more than 1,000%. SanDisk expects its revenue to continue to grow, thanks to increasing demand from AI development for its SSDs and NAND flash memory.
