aPriori just launched, an MEV-focused staking protocol that might set Monad apart

Been diving into the Monad ecosystem recently and came across aPriori (APR), which officially launched today. It’s basically a liquid staking protocol that tries to make staking more efficient by capturing and redistributing MEV (Maximal Extractable Value), instead of letting it leak to bots and arbitrage traders.

When you stake Monad’s native token (MON), you get aprMON, a liquid staking token you can still use in DeFi. What’s different here is that the protocol has this “order flow coordination layer” that segments and routes trades, similar to how high-frequency systems work in TradFi. It’s meant to boost validator and trader returns without giving up liquidity.

The project’s backed by folks from Jump Crypto, Coinbase, and Citadel Securities, and has raised around $30M (Pantera, HashKey, IMC, etc.), so there’s some real engineering weight behind it. The APR token just went live with a 15% community airdrop, you can claim on Ethereum now, and there’ll be a bigger unlock when Monad mainnet launches later.

I also noticed Bitget added it to their Launchpool lineup, which usually signals early traction before listings start spreading.

Not financial advice, but from a structure and design perspective, this feels like one of the more serious DeFi builds prepping for Monad’s mainnet era. Curious to see if the MEV redistribution model actually works once the network goes live.
