Market’s been absolutely exhausting lately. Between the macro uncertainty and the non-stop news noise, it feels like every green candle is a trap and every red one is a cliff
Take VTYX today, perfect example. WSJ reports Eli Lilly (LLY) is eyeing a $1B+ buyout, and the thing rips 50% at the open, touching $15. Now? It’s already faded back to the $13s. Is this a classic "sell the news" event, or just big money using retail as exit liquidity? Whenever a stock moonshots 50% on a "rumor" and immediately starts bleeding out, my BS detector goes off. Feels like textbook institutional distribution while the hype is peaking
Then there’s the Space sector. I’ve been holding ASTS and RKLB for a while, and today is rough:
ASTS: Getting hammered, down over 8% and losing that $90 level
RKLB: Under heavy pressure too, dropping about 4% right after hitting fresh highs
After the insane run we had to kick off 2026, I can’t tell if this is just a "healthy breather" or the bubble finally popping. I’m still sitting on decent gains, but I'm torn: do I buy this dip, or lock in profits before the noise turns into a full blown correction?
What’s your 2026 strategy? How are you guys navigating this mess?
