How do you think Boston Dynamics would fair if they were publicly traded?

I'll preface by saying I don't invest, and don't know a lot about it. I read this sub, and usually don't understand most of it. Me (38m) has known about Boston Dynamics since I was in high school/early adulthood. I've always thought of them as like "a leader" in robotics, but maybe they are just the most well known?

Their Atlas robot and Spot dog are pretty cool. Why aren't they publicly traded company? I know you can buy Hyundai, the parent company, just wondered why they weren't traded themselves, it seems like something people would be interested in.

Would you invest? Why or why not? Are they just "the name" but aren't really the leader or innovators, or even really doing much in the space?
