Why are platforms hiding 1 option = 100 shares information on their interface ?

Options are always displayed with prices per share and it doesn't even mention the amount of shares

No where it is mentioned you buy the contract for a 100. (at least on IBKR, i don't know if any other platform displays this information). you just have to assume that because I guess it's a basic knowledge

Literally on the latest "confirm buy" step, it shows you the price divided by 100 with a "buy" button

And you click on the button, no where it indicates you actually pay x100 that price. You can only realize this once you see your wallet drop that amount

why are these interfaces so diabolically misleading for newbies ? I mean for god sake it is asking confirmation to buy something actually show the freaking amount you'll pay, or put an indicator like "x100" somewhere
