We’re all aware of Bitcoin, its capabilities and its potential to be the world’s financial reserve. When it comes to its technical capabilities, one of its foundational principles is Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP). For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s the name of cryptographic method that’s used to verify transactions, increases scalability, and security while maintaining privacy. To put it simply, without ZKPs Bitcoin can’t exist.
To add a layer on top of this, ZKPs are one of the widest adopted cryptographic methods to verifying transactions. It’s in almost all of the quality blockchain projects out there.
ZKPs we originally discovered in 1985. One of the founders/discoverers of this cryptographic capabilities… Silvio Micali.
Ostensibly, Silvio Micali helped create Bitcoin…
For all of its goods, Bitcoin does have technical drawbacks. It’s not suited for global adoption in regard to its capabilities.
Silvio saw these drawbacks, and decided he’d take it into his own hands, and create something that could sidestep/beat/improve upon current blockchain technologies… What did he create you ask? Algorand.
The man who created one of the main protocols that enabled the possibility of BTC to exist created his version… Algorand.
What is Algorand you ask? It is an L1 that can process 12000TPS, with near (sub 3 seconds) finality, is quantum secure, and it actively used by some of the largest enterprises in the world. To list a few of its use cases; TravelX, FolksFinance, HesabPay, Quantoz, Loft.AI. It’s used by Europes 2nd largest energy company to tokenize their solar panels. It’s used by FIFA to mint their digital futball art and collectibles. There are many more active use cases.
Mark my words. Algorand will reign high in the not too distant future. The writing is on the walls. Silvio Micali enabled BTCs existence. He created Algorand. I’ll buy and hold both for the rest of my life. Generational wealth opportunities only come around once in a blue moon. The moon is looking quite blue.
