I'm intrigued by how profitable some social commerce sites are like META, GOOG, TIKTOK, IG, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. Literal goldmines and great stocks to own.
On the other hand, there are social commerce sites that attract a great deal of traffic but seem totally unable to operate as profitable businesses. These include SNAP, RDDT, X, etc. Most concerning is I doubt most of these will ever reward patient shareholders.
What I don't understand is why so many companies are unable to translate web traffic into revenue. Above all, how to spot the brands that are getting it right.
